La Paz Walking Tour

Description

We'll meet at the designated time at the The Steakhouse on Calle Murillo, in the heart of La Paz. From here, we'll set off on an alternative route, visiting places frequented by locals.

For an authentic experience, we'll use public transport (bus, microbus, or cable car) to reach the different stops on the tour. Our first stop is the Cementerio General, a large cemetery with a significant history.

Next, we'll take the cable car to El Alto to appreciate the city from 2.5 miles (4,000 meters) above sea level on the Altiplano plateau. We will also visit the witches' market, where you can get your fortune told with coca leaves by a local yatiri (shaman).

We'll conclude the tour with a visit to the El Alto viewpoint for a view of the valley of La Paz and the Illimani Mountain. At the end of the 3-hour tour, we will return to the starting point and enjoy a typical drink at the Sol y Luna Café.
