On this day trip to Lake Titicaca and the Isla del Sol, we'll discover the magic of this iconic location in Bolivia and South America.

Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in La Paz. From there, we will travel to Copacabana, a city on the shore of Lake Titicaca, over a journey of approximately 4 hours, enjoying views of the Andean landscape.

Our first stop will be the Copacabana Church, where we will observe its colonial architecture and discuss its historical and cultural importance. Then, we'll explore the traditional markets in the city for local products and handmade gifts. You will have an hour of free time to eat at a local restaurant, with options for delicious Bolivian cuisine, including fresh fish from Lake Titicaca and grilled trout.

After lunch, we will board a boat on Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world and one of the largest in South America. The boat will take us to the southern part of the Isla del Sol, where we'll visit the Pilkokaina Palace, an ancient Incan construction. We will also visit Yumani, a town that features the Three Fountains of the Incans, known for their reputed healing properties.

After exploring Isla del Sol, we will return by boat to Copacabana and then take a bus back to La Paz, concluding the day trip after a total of 14 hours.
