Sail through Lake Titicaca and visit the cradle of the Inca civilization on our Lake Titicaca Catamaran & Sol Island Visit from La Paz. Enjoy a totora reed boat ride during the tour.

Lake Titicaca Catamaran & Sol Island Visit

At 6:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in La Paz and drive to the Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana, an important pilgrimage site.

We will board the catamaran and sail on Lake Titicaca, known as the highest navigable lake in the world.

On our way to Sol Island, the lake's largest island and the former seat of the Inca Empire, we will admire views of the lake, where legend states that Viracocha, the Incan Sun God, was born.

We will visit the gardens and the Inca Fountain before continuing to the Inti Wata archaeological complex, a main attraction on Sol Island and in Bolivia.

While there, we will explore the Ekako underground museum and the traditional medicine and totora reed raft construction centres. We will also visit agricultural terraces and see herds of Andean camelids near the Manco Capac viewpoint.

Before leaving Sol Island, we will take a boat ride on traditional totora reed rafts, enjoying panoramic views of the Pilkokaina Palace.

After the boat ride, we'll return to the catamaran for a buffet lunch as we cruise back. We aim to arrive back at your hotel by 7 pm.

Finish in Puno

If preferred, you can choose to end the catamaran cruise in Puno. The route will be the same, and after lunch, we will take you to Puno by bus.
