Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the emblematic Plaza San Francisco. From here, we'll begin our walking tour of La Paz, exploring streets and sites that have witnessed the battles and progress of the women of this city.
We'll start along Sagárnaga Street, known for its cultural and colorful shops. As we walk, we'll discuss how the women of La Paz worked tirelessly to gain education and autonomy.
The tour will continue in the district of Max Paredes, a neighborhood where women entrepreneurs lead businesses through their hard work and determination. Here, you'll learn about the importance of these businesses for the local economy.
Continuing our walking tour, we'll visit the Mercado Rodríguez, showcasing a variety of fruits and vegetables reflecting the gastronomic richness of La Paz. Next, we'll head to San Pedro, a neighborhood known for the prison that shares its name.
Finally, after this 2.5-hour tour, we'll arrive at Avenida 20 de Octubre, where we'll visit the Virgen de los Deseos building, symbolizing female empowerment in La Paz. This concludes our tour celebrating illustrious women!
