Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the iconic Plaza San Francisco. From here, we'll begin our walking tour of La Paz, exploring streets and sites that have witnessed the battles and progress of the women of this city.
We'll begin along Sagárnaga Street, known for its cultural shops. During the walk, we'll discuss how women of La Paz have worked for education and control over their bodies.
The tour will continue in the district of Max Paredes, where women entrepreneurs lead businesses through hard work. You'll learn the significance of these businesses for the local economy.
Continuing, we'll visit the Mercado Rodríguez, a market with a variety of fruits and vegetables that reflects the gastronomic richness of La Paz. Next, we'll proceed to San Pedro, a neighborhood recognized for its prison.
After this 2.5-hour tour, we'll arrive at Avenida 20 de Octubre to visit the Virgen de los Deseos building, a symbol of female empowerment in La Paz. This concludes our tour celebrating illustrious women!
