Tour Overview

We will convene at the iconic Plaza San Francisco, a site steeped in history and known for its renowned church. From this point, we will embark on our walking journey through La Paz, uncovering the paths and landmarks that have been central to the struggles and achievements of the women in this vibrant city.

Our adventure begins along Sagárnaga Street, celebrated for its cultural shops bursting with color. As we stroll, we'll reflect on the efforts of La Paz's women to gain access to education and retain agency over their own bodies.

Next, we will venture into the Max Paredes neighborhood, where female entrepreneurs are at the forefront of local businesses, showcasing resilience and dedication. Here, you will gain insight into the significance of these enterprises for the community's economic landscape.

Continuing our exploration, we will arrive at the Mercado Rodríguez, a bustling market that highlights the culinary diversity of La Paz. We will then proceed to San Pedro, known primarily for its eponymous prison.

Our 2.5-hour journey will conclude at Avenida 20 de Octubre, where we will stop at the Virgen de los Deseos. This venue serves as a restaurant and café, embodying a symbol of women's empowerment in La Paz. A fitting conclusion to our tribute to the remarkable women of this city!
