Description
Day 1: La Paz - Uyuni
At 8 pm, meet on Avenida Uruguay in La Paz to board the bus to Uyuni. Dinner will be served during the overnight journey.
Day 2: Uyuni
Arrive in Uyuni around 7 am for breakfast at a cafeteria. Afterward, take a jeep to the Uyuni Salt Flat, with a stop at the train cemetery for photos of abandoned 19th-century locomotives. Visit Colchani, a salt iodization plant, to learn about salt extraction methods. Continue to the Dakar monument and Playa Blanca salt hostel, then explore Incahuasi Island and enjoy a sunset surrounded by giant cacti. Overnight at a hostel in Uyuni.
Day 3: Uyuni - Huayllajara
After breakfast, head to the Colorada Lagoon, passing the Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiacorta lagoons, the Siloli Desert, and the Stone Tree. Lunch at a restaurant in Paso del Inca, arriving at the Colorada Lagoon by 4 pm. Spend the night at a hostel in Huayllajara.
Day 4: Huayllajara - Salvador Dalí Desert - Uyuni
Enjoy breakfast before visiting Sol de Mañana and its volcanic activity, Chalviri Hot Springs, and the Salvador Dalí Desert with its multicolored formations. View the Verde and Blanca Lagoon and Lincancabur volcano before returning to Uyuni.
Day 5: La Paz
Arrive in La Paz around 6:30 am.
