In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in downtown La Paz and set off for Mount Chacaltaya. After crossing the Bolivian altiplano for approximately two hours, we will reach the base camp of the mountain.

Upon arrival, a short 650-foot hike will take us to the summit, where you can enjoy expansive panoramic views featuring snow-capped peaks and typical Bolivian landscapes. After taking photos, we will descend from Chacaltaya and head to the Valle de la Luna.

At the Valley of the Moon, we will explore the area on foot, with a gentle walk due to the lower altitude. Our guide will explain the origin of the rock formations and the story behind the valley's name.

Our trip to Valle de la Luna and Mount Chacaltaya concludes with a return to La Paz in the mid-afternoon, dropping you off at the Plaza de San Francisco.
