Valle de la Luna and Mount Chacaltaya Trip

In the morning, pick-up from your hotel in downtown La Paz will commence. After approximately two hours crossing the Bolivian altiplano, we will arrive at the base camp of Mount Chacaltaya.

There, participants will hike 650 feet to the summit, where they can enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks and typical Bolivian landscapes. After taking photos, we will descend from Chacaltaya and head to the Valle de la Luna.

At Valle de la Luna, we will explore on foot with a gentle walk, as the altitude is lower than in other Bolivian locations. The guide will provide insights into the origin of the rock formations and the story behind the valley's name.

The trip concludes with a return to La Paz in midafternoon, dropping off participants at the Plaza de San Francisco.
