Speedboat Adventure to Palomino Islands & Swimming with Sea Lions

The adventure begins at 10 am, where we will gather at 145, Comandante Fanning Street. A brief walk will lead us to the speedboat, setting the stage for our exciting journey around the Callao islands.

As we navigate the waters of the South Pacific, you'll be captivated by striking rock formations and the chance to observe local fishing activities. Our route includes a pass by El Camotal, an island submerged after an earthquake, visible only during low tides.

Next, we will visit San Lorenzo, also known as a "mystery island." This site not only hosts a navy base but also features cemeteries for Chilean soldiers and houses more than 20 pre-Incan archaeological sites.

Continuing our voyage, we will approach the island of El Frontón, which is highlighted by the remains of a prison recognized for holding members of the Shining Path communist group in the 1980s. We’ll also take in the beauty of the Cavinzitas, a set of rocky formations featuring natural caves and caverns that provide a habitat for a population of Humboldt penguins.

As we navigate along the coastline of the Palomino Islands, prepare to be amazed by the diverse ecosystem of guano birds and the remarkable sea lion colony. Here, you will also have the chance to swim with these curious and lively creatures, making for an unforgettable experience.

By 1 pm, our journey will conclude as we return to our starting point in Callao.
