Traditional Boat Journey in the Bay of La Rochelle
Our adventure will kick off at the pier located on Avenue Michel Crépeau, where we will embark on our journey, ready to navigate the beautiful bay of La Rochelle. Get ready to set sail!
The cruise is hosted on the Viking Ljö, a classic boat crafted in 1961 in the Bassin d'Arcachon. This charming vessel measures 12 meters (40 feet) in length and 3 meters (10 feet) in width, featuring a retro aesthetic that can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 12 guests.
While we won't venture into the open Atlantic, our time will be spent enjoying a delightful cruise in the bay of La Rochelle. Throughout the trip, we will be treated to picturesque views of the Tour de la Chaîne and the Tour Saint-Nicolas, iconic towers guarding the entrance to the Vieux Port.
We will also catch sight of the Tour de la Lanterne as we sail by the contemporary Port La Rochelle and the Phare du bout du monde, affectionately known as the lighthouse at the end of the world. Its intriguing backstory is bound to fascinate you.
After a journey lasting approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, we will return to our starting point, concluding this memorable boat trip in the bay of La Rochelle.
