When making your reservation, you can select one of two distinct itineraries. Both commence from the Molo Italia pier in La Spezia and provide boat transport alongside an English, French, and Italian-speaking guide who will accompany you throughout the journey. Here are the details for each selection:
Itinerary: Vernazza, Monterosso, and Riomaggiore
At the appointed time, we will gather at the Molo Italia pier, ready to depart from La Spezia and set sail towards Vernazza, Monterosso, and Riomaggiore. All aboard! Our exploration of the Cinque Terre is about to commence!
The journey will take us across the waters of the Gulf of Poets, which separates Porto Venere from Palmaria Island, as we follow the scenic Ligurian coastline. Upon reaching Riomaggiore, take time to wander through its historic center, exploring the charming narrow streets. Be sure to visit notable landmarks such as the castle and the Church of St. John.
At the agreed meeting point, we’ll reconvene before heading to Monterosso. Did you know that it’s the largest village within the Cinque Terre? Once ashore, you can meander through its streets until you come across the Church of St. John the Baptist, celebrated for its impressive white marble rose window. Also, don’t miss a visit to the beach and the Aurora Tower. What tales of pirates does this place hold? You will find out!
Continuing our maritime journey, we will arrive in Vernazza, often referred to as the Pearl of the Cinque Terre. This picturesque fishing village developed around a natural harbor, offering breathtaking sea vistas. Here, you can shop, explore the area, and indulge in the delightful local culinary offerings.
After an extensive eight-hour excursion, we will return to the initial meeting point in La Spezia.
Schedule: This itinerary is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
Itinerary: Vernazza, Monterosso, and Porto Venere
At the noted time, we will set off from La Spezia to begin our boat excursion to Vernazza, Porto Venere, and Monterosso. In this variation, we will first navigate the Gulf of Poets, reaching Porto Venere in a journey lasting approximately 20 minutes. Have you ever wondered what makes this fortified town so alluring? You’ll uncover its charm by strolling along its promenade and soaking in the stunning views. Don’t forget to visit the medieval complex of the Church of St. Peter, hailed as one of the most romantic churches in Italy!
Following our time in Porto Venere, the itinerary will continue with visits to Monterosso and Vernazza, similar to the previous option.
Schedule: This option is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
