Upon disembarking from your cruise ship at the cruise terminal in La Spezia, take the free shuttle bus to Largo Michelle Fiorillo, from where a bus will transport you on a 2-hour journey to Florence. Known as the capital of Tuscany, Florence is celebrated for its historical significance. Upon arrival at Piazzale Montelungo, you'll have 4.5 hours of free time to explore the historic center, where you can see the churches, markets, and art.

Must-see attractions include the Duomo, Brunelleschi's dome, Giotto's bell tower, Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, San Lorenzo market, and Ponte Vecchio. You can also enjoy local culinary delights, such as a traditional panino al lampredotto or bistecca alla fiorentina.

At the end of the day, you'll reconvene at the station for the return trip to La Spezia, arriving at the cruise terminal 8 hours after departure.
