Conchagua Volcano Trip

Head to the top of the Conchagua volcano and discover the best views of the gulf from the Espiritu de la Montaña viewpoint.

Tour Description

We will meet at 5A Avenida Norte in La Unión at your chosen time and board a bus for a one-hour journey to the base of the Conchagua volcano.

Upon arrival, we will transfer to a 4x4 vehicle to ascend the volcano. The drive will take us through the rocky terrain to the Espiritu de la Montaña viewpoint.

At the viewpoint, you can admire the views from its wooden platform and take photographs. There is an opportunity to walk around and explore local wildlife.

After that, we will visit a small museum about Lenca culture and take a short 15-minute hike for additional views of the Gulf of Fonseca and the eastern coast of El Salvador. Following the hike, we will descend back to the base of the volcano and re-board the bus.

The excursion concludes with a return to the starting point after approximately 5.5 hours.
