Conchagua Volcano Trip

Head to the top of the Conchagua volcano and discover the best views of the gulf from the Espiritu de la Montaña viewpoint.

Tour Description

At your chosen time, we will meet at 5A Avenida Norte in La Unión and board a bus for a one-hour ride to the base of the Conchagua volcano.

Upon arrival, we will transfer to a 4x4 vehicle for the climb to the top of the volcano, navigating through the rocky terrain until we reach the Espiritu de la Montaña viewpoint.

At the viewpoint, we will enjoy the views from the wooden platform and have the opportunity to walk in the area and observe the local wildlife.

Next, we will visit a small museum about Lenca culture and hike for approximately 15 minutes to another viewpoint of the Gulf of Fonseca and the eastern coast of El Salvador. After taking in the panoramic views, we will descend back to the base of the volcano and board the bus.

The excursion concludes with a return to the starting point, totaling 5.5 hours.
