West Coast Tour: 8 Days

On this 8-day West Coast tour, we’ll journey from Los Angeles to Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, and Las Vegas.

Itinerary

Day 1: Los Angeles - Santa Barbara - Carmel - Oakland

We’ll meet at the Los Angeles Farmers Market to start our journey. Our first stop is Santa Barbara for a visit to an old Spanish mission, then we’ll head to Solvang for shopping. Next, we’ll drive along 17 Mile Drive, stopping in Carmel for free time before heading to our hotel in Oakland.

Day 2: Oakland - San Francisco - Modesto

After breakfast, we’ll drive to San Francisco, explore Fisherman’s Wharf, and take a bay cruise to see Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. After lunch at Pier 39, we’ll have a guided tour of Union Square, Chinatown, and Nob Hill, then return to Modesto.

Day 3: Modesto - Yosemite - Stevenson Ranch

We’ll visit Yosemite National Park to see giant sequoias and hike around El Capitan. We’ll also view Half Dome and Yosemite Falls before heading to Stevenson Ranch.

Day 4: Stevenson Ranch - Las Vegas

We’ll travel through Death Valley and stop at Barstow outlet for lunch. Then we’ll tour the Las Vegas Strip before resting at our hotel.

Day 5: Las Vegas

We’ll visit the Hoover Dam and learn about its engineering. The afternoon is free for exploration in Las Vegas.

Day 6: Las Vegas - Sedona - Page

We’ll journey through the Mojave Desert to Sedona, stopping for lunch. We’ll visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross for views of Sedona’s red rocks before heading to Page.

Day 7: Page - Monument Valley - Horseshoe Bend - Page

After breakfast, we’ll visit Monument Valley for a jeep tour with a Navajo guide. We’ll stop at Horseshoe Bend before returning to Page.

Day 8: Page - Antelope Canyon - Valley of Fire - Las Vegas

We’ll visit Antelope Canyon and then have lunch before heading to the Valley of Fire. We’ll return to Las Vegas, concluding the tour at the Luxor Hotel.

Itinerary Changes

In winter, from November through March, we will not visit Yosemite Park and will instead tour Monterey.
