Estancia Cristina Off-Roading Tour

Feel the rush of adrenaline driving around Estancia Cristina at full speed in an off-roading vehicle. This tour also includes a boat ride on the Upsala glacier.

Activity Details

When we're all gathered at the Estancia Cristina pier, we'll board the off-road vehicles to enjoy a 4WD route through one of the most beautiful landscapes of El Calafate. Get ready to feel a rush of adrenaline.

Aboard the jeep, we'll travel through the Feruglio mountain range, enjoying the glacial environment. Afterward, we'll start a 20-minute walk to the Upsala Glacier viewpoint for stunning views.

While we enjoy this panorama, we'll discuss the geological characteristics of Argentinean Patagonia and share facts, including that Upsala is the third-largest ice sheet in the world.

We'll have a break to eat, with a menu offering two Argentinean empanadas, lamb casserole, or pasta with pesto, and flan. Drinks include wine or soda, and coffee or tea.

Following lunch, we’ll explore the main areas of Estancia Cristina to learn about the local lifestyle. The tour concludes with a boat ride back to the pier, returning to El Calafate by 8 pm.

Pickup Info

When booking, you can select a tour option with hotel pickup and drop-off. If not chosen, you must reach Estancia Cristina pier by 8:15 am. The boat will return to the pier at 7 pm.
