Pico Island Dolphin & Whale Watching

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the dock of Rua dos Baleeiros in Lajes do Picos, located on Pico Island's southern coast.

We'll be accompanied by biologists who'll provide a brief technical talk before we set sail. Once ready, we'll depart in a Zodiac boat along Pico's southern coastline, known for its large dolphin and whale pods.

While sailing, we'll spot the whales and dolphins typically found in this region of the North Atlantic. The Zodiac staff will assist in distinguishing species by observing specific features on the animals.

During the 3-hour boat trip, we'll enjoy views of Pico Island's coastal landscapes and share information about the history of the Azores and other marine species in this Portuguese archipelago.
