Tekapo Stargazing
On the day of the activity, we will meet at the specified time on Andrew Don Drive, four minutes from the Tekapo city center, and commence the stargazing experience.
At our stargazing site, with nearly zero light pollution, we will embark on an astronomical journey from ancient stories of constellations to scientific facts. The guide will cover various astrological theories ranging from Greek mythology to Maori legends.
Seated outdoors with blankets and hot chocolate , we will observe numerous stars through a 9.25-inch computerised telescope while learning about the solar system's complexity.
As we conclude our time, we will gather around a fire pit to roast marshmallows while enjoying the final scenes of the starry sky.
After a total of 1.5 hours, we will say our goodbyes.
