Tekapo Stargazing
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the indicated time on Andrew Don Drive, just a four-minute drive from the Tekapo city center, to start this stargazing experience.
At our stargazing location, we'll embark on an astronomical journey from ancient stories of constellations to scientific facts. Our guide will discuss different astrological theories from Greek mythology to Maori legends.
While sitting outside with blankets and hot chocolate to keep warm, we'll observe various stars in the sky through a powerful 9.25-inch computerised telescope as we explore the solar system.
As we conclude, we'll gather around a fire pit to roast marshmallows while enjoying our final moments with the starry sky.
After a total of 1.5 hours, we'll say our goodbyes.
