Join your guide at either Lampang airport or at your hotel and kick start this unforgettable day with a visit to the 100-year-old Lampang market where you will be able to sample and taste some of the typical Thai delicacies displayed and sold here. Follow this by experiencing an exhilarating horse cart ride through the old streets of Lampang’s old town centre en route to the Burmese-style temple of Wat Si Rong Muang and the beautifully renovated Moungngwezin House, which now houses a gallery and a coffee shop.

Your trip continues to the old teak wooden “viharn” at Wat Koh, where you can admire this beautiful temple whilst enjoying a delicious lunch in the Riverside Restaurant by the Wang River.

In the afternoon, visit the Wat Phra Keow Don Tao and Wat Prathat Lampang Luang temples, the latter considered to be the most magnificent temple in Northern Thailand. This fantastic day ends with a stop to the colourful Thung Kwian Market and with what will undoubtedly be a touching visit to the wonderful Friends of the Asian Elephant Foundation.
