Trip Details

Day 1: Valle de la Luna - Talampaya

After picking you up from your hotel in La Rioja, we will travel to Ischigualasto Provincial Park, also known as Valle de la Luna. Following a 2.5-hour drive, we will embark on a vehicle tour to witness notable rock formations like the Bowling Green, Submarine, Mushroom, Red Cliffs, and Museum. You will have free time for lunch at the visitor centre before we proceed to Talampaya National Park.

At Talampaya, we will explore geological features shaped by erosion over 45 million years and view petroglyphs such as the Gothic Cathedral, Monk, and Botanical Garden. The day will conclude after approximately 12 hours, returning to your hotel in Villa Unión.

Day 2: Laguna Brava

On the second day, we will pick you up from your hotel in Villa Unión to visit Laguna Brava Provincial Reserve. The journey includes a pass through La Quebrada de la Troya and Quebrada del Peñón, which leads to the park entrance.

Upon arrival at the park, you will observe the high-altitude lagoon system, particularly Laguna Brava, known for its flamingo population and striking mountain backdrop. We will return to your hotel in La Rioja around 8 pm.
