Embarking on this tour, we'll lead you through the grandeur of La Rioja's city center in Argentina, uncovering the precious historical remnants of Las Padercitas.
Description
We'll pick you up at your La Rioja hotel at the designated time and proceed to the historic city center.
The first stop will be the 25 de Mayo Square, home to the Basilica-Cathedral of San Nicolás de Bari. This church has significance in La Rioja, particularly since 1894 after a devastating earthquake prompted its reconstruction.
Next, we will view the City Hall and the surrounding architecturally significant structures, showcasing the city's blend of architecture and history.
The final part of our tour takes us to Las Padercitas, featuring adobe buildings from 1630, enclosed by a stone wall. Here, we will recount the story of San Francisco Solano, who prevented indigenous people from entering the city.
After visiting Las Padercitas, we will return to La Rioja and drop you off at your hotel, with a total duration of approximately three hours.
