La Rioja & Las Padercitas Guided Tour

Embarking on this tour, we'll lead you through the grandeur of La Rioja's city center in Argentina, uncovering the precious historical remnants of Las Padercitas.

Description

We'll pick you up at your La Rioja hotel at the designated time and set our course for the heart of the historic city.

Our first stop will be the 25 de Mayo Square, home to the Basilica-Cathedral of San Nicolás de Bari, significant since 1894 after a powerful earthquake led to the reconstruction of the old Matriz church, resulting in the present-day temple.

Next, we will visit the City Hall, surrounded by architecturally captivating structures. Throughout the tour, you’ll witness the interplay of architecture and history.

Our journey concludes with a visit to Las Padercitas, featuring adobe buildings from 1630 within a stone wall. Here, a church marks the site where San Francisco Solano prevented a group of indigenous people from entering the city, a story we will share with you.

After visiting Las Padercitas, we will return to La Rioja, dropping you off at your hotel after approximately three hours.
