Embarking on this tour, we'll lead you through the grandeur of La Rioja's city center in Argentina, uncovering the precious historical remnants of Las Padercitas.

Description

We'll pick you up at your La Rioja hotel at the designated time and set our course for the historic city center.

Our first stop will be the 25 de Mayo Square, where the facade of the Basilica-Cathedral of San Nicolás de Bari is located. This site is significant in La Rioja's history, particularly after a powerful earthquake in 1894 that prompted the reconstruction of the old Matriz church, resulting in the current temple built in the early 20th century.

Continuing, we will view the City Hall and adjacent architecturally noteworthy structures, highlighting the blend of architecture and history.

As we conclude our walk through the historic center, we head to Las Padercitas, a group of adobe buildings from 1630, enclosed by a stone wall. Here, a church marks the location where San Francisco Solano intervened with indigenous groups. The historical significance of this event will be conveyed.

After visiting Las Padercitas, we will return to La Rioja, concluding the tour with a drop-off at your hotel, lasting about three hours.
