Discover Pucará de Los Sauces

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in La Rioja and travel through the Quebrada Los Sauces until we reach the trail, where we'll walk to visit some of the most beautiful corners of the area.

We'll make a stop at the dry area of the river, marking the beginning of the trekking route. We'll climb up the hill to reach the highest part of the Los Sauces Dam. Here, we'll find Pucará de Los Sauces - an ancient fortress where Andean people used to live. Participants will learn about the first inhabitants of La Rioja while enjoying the landscape.

We'll continue our tour, admiring the lake of Dique Los Sauces and the views of the Sierras de Velasco. Afterwards, we'll return down the mountains to the starting point.

Finally, the excursion concludes with a return to your hotel after 3 hours of walking.
