Talampaya & Ischigualasto Day Trip

On this excursion from La Rioja we'll discover Ischigualasto and Talampaya, two parks in Argentina.

Tour Details

You'll begin the day leaving from La Rioja to visit Ischigualasto Park, known as Valley of the Moon Park. This park features unique landscapes such as grey rock formations and water-eroded valleys. The experience includes a walking tour and a bus ride throughout the park.

During over 4 hours, you'll view significant geological formations at Ischigualasto Park, including sites with names like the submarine, the worm, or the mushroom. The tour includes stops for scenic views at Valle Pintado and Cancha de Bochas, where you'll see remarkably round grey rocks. A picnic lunch is encouraged in the park. Following lunch, you'll return to La Rioja to visit Talampaya National Park and participate in a bus tour of this World Heritage Site.

While at Talampaya, you'll observe the park's towering rock walls and learn about its geological history. After the bus tour, you'll catch another bus back to La Rioja, returning to your hotel at 8 pm.

Please note that the entrance fees for Ischigualasto Provincial Park, Talampaya National Park, and the truck tour of Talampaya are not included and must be paid on the day of the activity. These fees vary according to the time of year.
