Salt flats, mountains, and arid dunes: discover one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the United States on this tour to Death Valley National Park from Las Vegas.

Death Valley Tour

Despite its name, Death Valley is situated in the Mojave Desert and is known for its extreme summer heat and the lowest elevation in North America. Pickup from hotels in Las Vegas occurs between 5:45 and 6:30 am, followed by a 1.5-hour drive to Death Valley National Park, located on the border of Nevada and California.

During the drive, multiple stops will be made at notable locations: first at Rest Stop Area 51, then at Death Valley Nut & Candy Co, followed by a visit to Rhyolite Ghost Town, before entering Hell's Gate, the entrance to the park.

Around 10:30 am, a breakfast stop will be made near the Mesquite Sand Dunes. The tour will include visits to key sites such as Badwater Basin, a salt flat at 86m (282 feet) below sea level, and Zabriskie Point, a viewpoint offering expansive views of the landscape.

As the tour continues, participants will witness a range of geological features including sand dunes, canyons, and colorful hills. Before returning to Las Vegas, there will be a final stop in the town of Pahrump at a rest area. The expected drop-off time back at the hotel in Las Vegas is around 4:15 pm.
