Interlaken & Schilthorn Day Trip from Lausanne
On the morning of your Alpine adventure, you'll depart from Lausanne at the designated time towards Schilthorn, a peak in the Bernese Pre-Alps at 9,744 feet (2,970 metres) above sea level. You will admire the famous Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger peaks, all declared World Heritage Sites.
You will take the cable car to its summit, a notable filming location of the 1969 James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service." The interactive exhibitions at Schilthorn provide views of the snow-capped mountains.
If you're a thrill-seeker, you may choose to walk over the jagged peaks of the mountains below.
The effort will be rewarded with a visit to the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant at the top of Schilthorn, offering a spectacular panoramic vista.
After descending, you will head to Interlaken, situated between Lakes Thun and Brienz. Here, you will have free time to explore traditional houses, the historic centre, and typical shops. Optionally, you may visit a local restaurant for Swiss cuisine (not included).
Your tour concludes back in Lausanne after a total of 12 hours.
