Activity Details

At the indicated time, we’ll meet on Calle Palomino and head by vehicle to the starting point. There, we’ll explain the 8-kilometer (5 miles) route and assign you the kayaks and paddles. Ready? Let’s start paddling!

From the very first minute, we’ll enjoy a fun kayak tour to Punta Mosquito, which we’ll reach in approximately 35 minutes. This place consists of a large beach with dunes, mangroves, and views of the Mexican Caribbean.

As we navigate the waves, we’ll observe various species such as the peregrine falcon, the snowy plover, the horseshoe crab, or the American oystercatcher. After that, we’ll head toward the Kuka River while enjoying the local fauna and flora of Holbox Island. We’ll paddle for 1.5 hours through mangrove areas where flamingos, ospreys, cormorants, and roseate spoonbills live.

Be on the lookout! It’s not unusual to spot crocodiles on the shores. Did you know this species can live up to 80 years? We’ll anchor for 10 minutes at the river entrance to rest and take photos before returning to the starting point.

Finally, after a total of 3 hours, we’ll say goodbye at the initial meeting point.
