Maya Full Moon Ceremony

At 8 pm we'll meet at the indicated starting point in Holbox and head to the beach for the Maya Full Moon Ceremony. After arriving, we will be welcomed by the shaman who will conduct the ritual for the night. The shaman will explain the steps of the full moon ceremony.

The Maya referred to the moon as Ixchel, and our spiritual guide will discuss its significance to this civilization as the goddess of love, gestation, medicine, and textile work.

Guided by torches and accompanied by rhythmic music, the shaman will facilitate a connection with the environment, the moon, and nature. This is an opportunity for an inner journey toward spirituality.

Following the ritual, we will conclude the activity with a kayak trip on the calm waters of Holbox island, appreciating the beauty of this Mexican Caribbean paradise under the starry sky.

At 10 pm we'll return to the meeting point.
