Description

This excursion begins at Porta Napoli in Lecce, traveling along the scenic Adriatic and Ionian coastlines. The first stop is Otranto, where visitors can explore its streets, the Cathedral, the Byzantine church of San Pietro, and the Pelasgi Bastions.

Next, we reach Santa Maria di Leuca, where the two seas converge, offering views of the harbor and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Finibus Terrae. Scenic views will also include Santa Cesarea Terme, Castro Marina, and Ciolo Fjord.

Continuing to Gallipoli, known as the Pearl of the Ionian, explorers will visit the modern area and the historic old town linked by a bridge, showcasing ancient Greek heritage.

The final destination is Galatina, home to the Basilica of Santa Caterina d'Alessandria with its frescoes and the church of Santi Pietro e Paolo. The excursion lasts approximately eight hours, concluding back at the meeting point in Lecce.
