On this bike tour of Lecce, we'll ride through Porta Napoli, Duomo Square, the Roman theatre, and other monuments to discover its authentic flavours.

Tour Details

When booking, you can choose between a food tour or a wine tour. Both start at Vico de Argenteris 16A, include tastings, a bike ride, an English-speaking guide, and last 3 hours.

Food Tour

We'll cycle past main attractions such as Porta Napoli, Basilica of Santa Croce, the Theatre, Amphitheatre, and Duomo Square until reaching the city center.

The tour begins at a traditional bakery to discover the making of Salento delicacies like puccia and frisa, followed by a visit to a wine cellar to taste local wines.

Next, we'll visit an artisan pastry shop to taste pasticcioto leccese, a cream-filled pastry. We'll conclude with an Italian espresso at a local café.

Wine Tour

We'll cycle through Lecce's best wineries, starting in the historic centre to explore Salento wine culture among narrow streets.

Visits to wine cellars will include tastings of Negroamaro, Primitivo, and Susumaniello wines. While tasting, we can enjoy the historical and cultural heritage of Lecce, known as the "Florence of the South."

We will see Porta Napoli and Basilica of Santa Croce, known for its 16th-century façade, then visit Roman ruins. The experience ends at Piazza del Duomo, an architectural treasure of the city.

Included

  • Bicycle and helmet hire
  • English–speaking guide
  • Tasting of local products (depending on selection)
