Meet us at the Leiria Castle ticket office, the starting point for our guided tour of this fortress. The castle, inaugurated in 1135, has maintained its interior well. We will explore its grandiose rooms and discuss its impressive construction, commissioned by the first king of Portugal, Alfonso Henriques, to protect the kingdom's borders.

In addition to the castle, we will visit significant monuments within the city, including the Church of Nossa Senhora da Penha, the ancient Pazos Reales, and the Main Tower, which offer stunning views unique to Portugal. After exploring the fortress, we will tour the city streets to reach the Leiria Cathedral, known for its unique history, which our guide will explain.

We will proceed through the streets of Leiria, viewing the Casa de los Pintores and the Casa de los Arcos. Our final destination will be the Jewish Quarter, where we will explore its preserved medieval layout.

After 2 hours of exploring this historic city, we will conclude our tour at this last stop.
