At the indicated time we leave León in the direction of Astorga, cradle of the Maragatería.

Once we reach the historic center of Astorga we will immerse ourselves in its imperial past. In the 1st century BC, the legionaries of the Legio X Gémina division needed a safe place to station themselves during the Cantabrian wars.

Thus was born the Asturica Augusta camp, the origin of the city. With this visit we will delve into the long history of the town. We will visit the Roman Museum La Ergástula.

In it we will discover old clothes, work tools and other utensils of the ancient Legion that will help us to better understand what daily life was like in this area of the Iberian Peninsula during Antiquity.

After exploring the entire museum, we will take a guided tour of the Roman route, where we will be able to appreciate the different archaeological remains that are scattered around the city. After finishing the visit, free time to walk around Astorga until the time of return.
