Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Avenida del Tecnológico 308 to start a special tour around León.
Firstly, we'll visit a shoe factory to learn about the process of making shoes and the tradition and quality in León's shoe industry.
After touring the factory, we'll head to the centre of León to see main monuments, including the Arco de la Calzada, marking the entrance to the historic centre.
Next, we will visit the Templo Expiatorio, a neogothic church famous for its impressive facade. Then, we'll explore the San Juan de Dios neighbourhood, known for its cobbled streets and colourful colonial houses, along with artisanal shops and cafes.
For the food segment of the tour, we will stop at a bar famous for guacamayas, a traditional dish of León made with a special type of bread roll filled with pulled meat, sauce, and avocado.
Alongside the guacamaya, we will enjoy a local drink called cebadina, made from fruit and herbs. To conclude the food tour, we will visit an ice-cream parlour to try the renowned flavoured snow, showcasing León's wide variety of ice-creams.
