San Miguel Allende Day Trip + Winery Visit

We will pick you up from your hotel in Leon and head to San Miguel de Allende, known for its scenic beauty.

After a 2-hour drive, we will first visit the San Miguel vineyards, located in Guanajuato, a state with a notable winemaking tradition. During this visit, we will explore the history and significance of the area’s wine, including discussions about prominent wineries.

Upon arrival at the vineyard, we will embark on a guided tour of the winery facilities essential to the winemaking process.

The experience will include a wine-tasting session paired with a cheeseboard to enhance the flavors of the locally crafted wines. Following this, you will have free time at the San Miguel Winery Restaurant for lunch at your leisure.

We will then proceed to a walking tour of the historic downtown of San Miguel de Allende, where we will explore the vibrant streets and colonial architecture.

Key highlights of the tour include stops at significant monuments such as the House of Captain Ignacio Allende, La Purísima Temple with its ancient cloister, the church of San Miguel Arcángel, and the Ángela Peralta Theater.

We will conclude our day with the return journey to Leon, arriving at your hotel approximately 7 hours after departure.
