4-Day Tour
Day 1
We'll meet at the boardwalk of Leticia at the scheduled time and begin our adventure through one of Colombia's densest jungles. We'll board a boat and follow the Amazon River until we reach Puerto Nariño.
Once in Puerto Nariño, we'll take a guided tour through the town, including its landscapes, architecture, and way of life. Afterward, we'll have dinner at the accommodation and explore the Puerto Nariño jungle equipped with rubber boots and headlamps.
Day 2
Our second day will commence with a canoe ride to Peruvian Cacao Island. During the journey, we'll learn about various trees of the Amazon and may spot a sloth.
After lunch, we'll enjoy a boat ride on the Loretoyacu River to observe its biodiversity, seeing Piracu fish, crocodiles, piranhas, anacondas, and river dolphins. We'll conclude the day with a nocturnal expedition to find black caimans.
We'll have dinner and sleep in a cabin on the banks of Lake Tarapoto.
Day 3
After breakfast, we'll float down the Amazon River by boat for 2 hours to Mocagua, where we'll learn about the traditions of Amazonian tribes.
After lunch, we'll visit the Mocagua Monkey Sanctuary, an animal recovery center for primates. Our day will end with a night's rest in Mocagua.
Day 4
The last day will involve traveling back to Leticia. After breakfast, we'll start our journey at 7 am or 10 am. We'll say our goodbyes at the initial meeting point upon our return.
