Tour Details

Day 1

Meet at the Leticia boardwalk and board a boat to Puerto Nariño. Enjoy a 2-hour cruise on the Amazon River, exploring the village with discussions about the Ticuna, Cocama and Yagua tribes. In the evening, embark on a nocturnal jungle expedition to discover exotic insects and amphibians, followed by rest at the accommodation.

Day 2

Start with breakfast and visit Maloka Tikuna to learn about local customs. Participate in a workshop with local games and natural paints. After lunch, enjoy a boat trip on the Loretoyacu River discussing local wildlife. Watch the sunset and spot black caimans before dinner and returning to accommodation.

Day 3

Begin with views of the Lake Tarapoto wetlands. Return to Puerto Nariño, crossing the jungle on wooden bridges for 3 hours to reach the indigenous community of San Martin de Amacayacu. Have lunch and learn about their way of life, then spend the night in community accommodation.

Day 4

Start with breakfast and a canoe ride through Amacayacu National Park to Mocagua. Learn about Amazonian traditions after lunch, followed by a visit to the monkey sanctuary to feed rescued primates. Return to Puerto Nariño accommodation for the night.

Day 5

Last day returns to Leticia. After breakfast in Mocagua, depart at 7 am for a 90-minute journey back to the initial meeting point.
