Tour Details

Day 1

Participants will meet at the boardwalk of Leticia to board a boat to Puerto Nariño. The cruise down the Amazon River lasts 2 hours, followed by exploring the village and discussing the Ticuna, Cocama, and Yagua tribes. An evening nocturnal expedition in the jungles will reveal exotic insects and amphibians before returning to the hotel for rest.

Day 2

The day begins with breakfast followed by a visit to Maloka Tikuna to learn about the community's ancestral rites and participate in a workshop. After a traditional lunch, a boat trip on the Loretoyacu River will take place, focusing on local wildlife. The day concludes with a sunset view and dinner, returning to the hotel for the night.

Day 3

The third day features views of the Lake Tarapoto wetlands. After breakfast, participants will return to Puerto Nariño and transit through a jungle trail. A 3-hour trip will lead to the indigenous community of San Martin de Amacayacu, where lunch and community visits will occur, followed by an overnight stay in a local hotel.

Day 4

After breakfast, the fourth day includes a canoe ride through Amacayacu National Park to Mocagua to learn more about local traditions. Post-lunch, participants will visit a monkey sanctuary to interact with rescued primates before returning to the hotel in Puerto Nariño.

Day 5

On the final day, after breakfast in Mocagua, participants will depart at 7 am for Leticia. A 90-minute journey will conclude with farewells at the initial meeting point.
