Description
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Leticia, setting out towards the northern part of Colombia. After covering roughly 50 kilometers (about 31 miles), you'll reach Reserva Natura Park, a location that showcases the wild beauty of the Colombian landscape.
Once you arrive, your expedition through the lush Amazon jungle will commence. Take part in an ecological hike to discover some of the region's most iconic flora, including the impressive Ceiba tree, the tallest in the Amazon. The sight will leave you in awe!
Your exploration includes observing the magnificent giant water lilies that flourish in the waters of the largest river on the planet. Additionally, you will enjoy the singular experience of bathing in blue clay. Curious about its benefits? You'll learn all about it!
Have you come across the term huito? As part of our journey, you'll attend a tattoo workshop featuring this traditional plant from South America's northern regions. If you're feeling adventurous, you might even choose to get a tattoo! Did you know the natives use it for insect protection? Let's find out if it works!
Along the way, you'll savor regional coffee and fruit, immersing yourself in local flavors. Once our exploration of the reserve concludes, we will head back to Leticia after an exciting 12 hours!
