Lhasa Temples & Monasteries: 4 Day Tour
Day 1
After pickup from Lhasa Airport or train station, you will be transferred to your hotel to rest before exploring the sights of Lhasa, the capital and largest city of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
Day 2
Your day starts with a visit to the Potala Palace. After climbing nearly 400 steps, you will reach this UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was the residence of the Dalai Lama until 1959, consisting of over one thousand rooms including chapels and libraries.
Next, visit the Jokhang Temple, an important spiritual centre, where you will see a statue of Buddha at 12 years old and explore the Barkhor district, known for its lively atmosphere.
You will conclude the day with a welcome meal in a local restaurant.
Day 3
The third day takes you to Dadong, a well-preserved Tibetan village. Explore its scenic landscapes and visit the Nyimatang Monastery, a historic structure from the 11th century.
Enjoy a traditional meal with a local family and then proceed to the Sera Monastery to watch the animated debates among Buddhist monks.
Day 4
On your last day, you will be driven back to the airport or train station in Lhasa.
Important
To enter Tibet, a special permit is required. Provide your passport details when booking. The permit will be ready in about 8 working days. Bring your passport & Chinese visa on the trip.Pickup from the airport or train station occurs at 10 am, 1:30 pm, or 5 pm.The return transfer is at 6:30 am, 8 am, or 12 pm.For pickups or drop-offs outside these times, we will contact you for arrangements.
