Description

Day 1: Lhasa

Pickup from Lhasa Airport or the train station. Transfer to the hotel in Lhasa for rest or optional exploration.

Day 2: Lhasa

Visit the Potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple to learn about their history. Explore the Bakhor district and enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Lhasa

Breakfast at the hotel, then visit Nyimatang Monastery and experience village life by sharing a meal with a local family. In the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery to witness a monk debate before returning to Lhasa.

Day 4: Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse

Breakfast before departing Lhasa for Gyantse. Visit the Palcho Monastery and then proceed to the hotel in Shigatse for relaxation.

Day 5: Shigatse - Everest Base Camp

After breakfast in Shigatse, visit Tashilunpo Monastery and then head to Everest Base Camp via Lhatse, with a stop for lunch, and reach a lodge for overnight stay at 5,200 meters (17,060 feet).

Day 6: Everest Base Camp - Shigatse

Early departure to see sunrise over Mount Everest, then visit Rongbuk Monastery before heading back to Shigatse.

Day 7: Shigatse - Lhasa

Return to Lhasa via the Yalong Valley and check into the hotel.

Day 8: Lhasa

After breakfast, transfer back to the airport or train station.

The tour includes seven nights of accommodation:

Breakfast included at all accommodations except at Everest Base Camp. A welcome dinner is provided on Day 2; other meals are on your own.

Important information

A special permit is required for entry into Tibet; provide passport details when booking. The permit is issued in about 8 working days.Pickup times: 10 am, 1:30 pm, 5 pm. Drop-off times: 6:30 am, 8 am, 12 pm.Contact will be made to arrange pickups or drop-offs not within those times.

Note on prices

A minimum of two participants is required. Solo travelers can either pay a fee or reschedule. Group bookings with an odd number should book double and then single rooms, specifying travel together during booking.

Children under 4

The tour is not recommended for children under 4 years due to the route's difficulty.
