Tibet to Nepal: 7 Day Tour

Day 1: Lhasa

Upon arrival, you'll be picked up from Lhasa Airport or the main train station and transferred to your hotel in Lhasa to relax.

Day 2: Lhasa

After breakfast, your guided tour begins with a visit to Potala Palace, the former winter residence of the Dalai Lama, followed by Jokhang Temple in the Barkhor district. Enjoy a traditional Tibetan tea and have a welcome meal at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Lhasa – Dadong – Lhasa

After breakfast, drive to the village of Dadong and explore Nyimatang Monastery. Meet a local family and share a meal with them. Conclude the day at Sera Monastery before returning to your hotel.

Day 4: Shigatse

Depart Lhasa after breakfast heading to Shigatse. En route, pass through Gangbala mountain pass, visiting Gyantse and Palcho Monastery before a guided tour of Shigatse.

Day 5: Shigatse - Rongbuk - Everest Base Camp

Visit Tashi Lhunpo Monastery before heading toward Lhatse for lunch. Proceed to the Mount Everest Nature Reserve, camping overnight in Rongbuk.

Day 6: Rongbuk - Everest Base Camp - Kyirong

Watch sunrise over Mount Everest, explore Rongbuk Monastery, and then visit Everest Base Camp. Drive to Kyirong for the final night.

Day 7: Kyirong - Nepal

Your tour concludes as you are taken to the border between Tibet and Nepal (border crossing not included).

Includes breakfast on five days, except the last day, plus a welcome dinner on the second day. Other meals are not included.

Important information

A special permit is required to enter Tibet. Provide your passport details when booking; the Tibet Entry Permit will be issued approximately 8 working days after booking. Bring your passport & Chinese visa.Pickup from the airport or train station is at 10 am, 1:30 pm, and 5 pm. Transfers back are at 6:30 am, 8 am, or 12 pm.If booked outside those times, we will arrange pickup specifics.

Note on prices

Tours require a minimum of two participants. Solo travelers may pay a fee for a solo tour or reschedule. For group reservations with an odd number, book double rooms first, then single rooms, specifying you are traveling together in the comments section during booking.
