On our day trip to Liberia and the Santa Rosa National Park, we'll travel through incredible and biodiverse forests while visiting places significant to Costa Rican history.

Liberia & Santa Rosa National Park Day Trip

Between 7:30 and 8:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Guanacaste. We'll travel for 1 hour 30 minutes to our first destination, enjoying the scenery and discussing Costa Rican history.

In Santa Rosa National Park, we'll learn about the Casona de Santa Rosa, a historic monument known for the Battle of Santa Rosa.

We'll explore the Costa Rican rainforest, where you may see wildlife such as jaguars, pumas, and deer, along with potential sightings of magpies and toucans.

Next, we'll drive to Liberia, just 1 hour away from Santa Rosa. We'll take a break at a restaurant to enjoy casado, a traditional Costa Rican dish with rice, beans, fried sweet plantain, and meat or fish.

A guided tour lasting 1 hour will follow, showcasing the main monuments in Liberia's city center.

After 6 hours of exploring this beautiful part of Costa Rica, we'll return you to your hotel in Guanacaste.
