On our day trip to Liberia and the Santa Rosa National Park, we will explore diverse forests and significant historical sites in Costa Rica.

Liberia & Santa Rosa National Park Day Trip

Between 7:30 and 8:30 am, pickup will be from your hotel in Guanacaste. We will travel approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Santa Rosa National Park and Liberia, the capital of the province, enjoying the scenery and discussing the history of Costa Rica along the way.

In Santa Rosa National Park, we will learn about the Casona de Santa Rosa, a historic site known for the Battle of Santa Rosa. The trip includes a venture into the Costa Rican rainforest to observe wildlife, including jaguars, pumas, deer, magpies, and toucans.

After exploring the park, we will depart for Liberia, which is a 1-hour drive away. A break will be made at a restaurant to enjoy casado, a traditional Costa Rican dish with rice, beans, fried sweet plantain, and meat or fish.

Next, we will take a 1-hour guided tour of the main monuments in Liberia's city center. Following 6 hours of exploration, we will return you to your hotel in Guanacaste.
