Autisha Canyon Hiking & Abseiling

Venture into the deepest gorge found in western Peru on our hiking and abseiling activity in the Autisha Canyon. We'll set off from Lima for an exhilarating adventure!

Activity Details

After pickup at your chosen location in Lima, we will embark on a 3.5-hour drive to the province of Huarochirí. We will traverse the Santa Eulalia Valley to reach the starting point of our adventure in the Autisha Canyon.

Upon arrival at the nearest farmhouse, we will prepare for a short 15-minute hike to our abseiling starting point. After donning our safety gear and receiving instructions, we'll begin with our first abseiling into the natural tunnels.

The descent will take us through six levels underground. Utilizing stairs and a suspension bridge, we will explore the canyon, illuminated only by our flashlights. At the end of the trail, we will view the Shekel Waterfall. You can also test your bravery by abseiling down the 90-foot-high (30-meter-high) canyon walls adjacent to the waterfall!

Afterward, we will continue our hike to exit the canyon and head to the parking area for a delicious lunch featuring typical Peruvian dishes before our return journey.

On the way back, we will stop at Santa Eulalia to sample its famous homemade ice creams, concluding our memorable day.

Finally, we will return to Lima, completing the tour after 13 hours.
