Caral & Castle of Chancay Tour

On this exciting tour, we'll visit the archaeological complex of Caral and the Castle of Chancay with this excursion from Lima.

Caral + Castle of Chancay Tour

After picking you up at the indicated time at your chosen point in Lima, we'll travel to the sacred city of Caral via the Panamerican Highway North. There will be a breakfast stop en route.

The archaeological site of Caral dates back to between 3000 and 1800 BC. We will tour the citadel and explore the pyramids, the amphitheatre, its temples and residential areas. After the site visit, we will have lunch in a local restaurant.

Next, we will proceed to Chancay Castle, built in the mid-20th century by Consuelo Amat. The complex has been remodelled and converted into a theme park. We will ascend to the highest point of the castle for a view of the site where the Covadonga ship sank during the Pacific War.

We will then return to Lima, arriving back at around 8 pm.
