Stroll around the main religious sanctuaries and convents in the Peruvian capital on our Lima Churches Tour. We'll explore architectural gems such as the sanctuaries of Saint Rosa de Lima and Saint Martín de Porres.
Lima Churches Tour
We'll meet at the entrance of the Church of the Nazarenas at the scheduled time to begin our tour of Lima's churches, reflecting the city's strong ties to Catholicism established by the Spanish conquistadores.
During the tour, we will visit the sanctuary and monastery of Las Nazarenas, home of the venerated Lord of Miracles. Next, we will proceed to the Sanctuary of Saint Rosa de Lima, where the saint lived in the 16th and 17th centuries, and to the house of Saint Martín de Porres, another patron saint of Lima.
We will continue to the Convent of Santo Domingo, noted for its rococo bell tower and the resting place of Peru's revered saints: Saint Rosa de Lima, Saint Martín de Porres, and Saint John Macias.
Next, at the Plaza de Armas, we will see the Cathedral of Lima, the burial site of Francisco Pizarro, and then visit the Convent of San Francisco, a significant building in Lima.
Finally, we will conclude at St. Peter's Basilica, founded by the Society of Jesus in the 16th century, regarded as an architectural treasure. The tour lasts for 4 hours.
