Lima Contrasts Tour
To understand a city in all its essence, immersing yourself in its neighborhoods and culture is essential. We'll pick you up at 9 am at your hotel to begin this tour of contrasts in Lima.
We'll start in the Rímac district, exploring its old streets and colonial houses to understand the local way of life.
Next, we'll visit Cerro San Cristóbal, a significant hill over 300 meters high and an important pilgrimage site with the Monumental Cross, built in 1928. On clear days, views of San Lorenzo Island and the beaches of Chorrillos and La Punta will be visible.
Afterward, we will head to the historical center of Lima, visiting Plaza de San Martín with its art nouveau buildings, and Jirón de la Unión, a street significant to the city's history. This area is where conquistador Francisco Pizarro founded Lima.
The tour will continue to the Plaza de Armas, the seat of governmental powers, and we will visit the convents of Santo Domingo and San Francisco. Afterward, we will have lunch at a local restaurant.
To conclude the tour, we will learn to prepare a typical pisco sour. The tour will end with a return to your hotel in Lima around 5 pm.
