Uncover the authentic flavors of the capital city in Peru! Join us on this walking tour of Lima's traditional markets where we'll sample the local cuisine.

Lima Food Markets Tour + Tasting

We'll pick you up from your hotel to tour Lima's traditional markets. Our first stop is at a small traditional market in Surquillo, where we will observe local ingredients typical of the area, including numerous domestic fruit varieties exclusive to Peru. You'll interact with local shopkeepers and learn about their experiences.

Next, we will visit the fishing village of Chorrillos, known for its fresh seafood. Here, participants will learn about Peru's celebrated dish and select fish for preparing ceviche.

We will continue our tour by taking the Metropolitano bus to central Lima. We will explore the Central Market and Chinatown, discovering the most famous Peruvian dishes and their Asian fusion. Participants will also taste Peruvian-Chinese snacks such as picarones or anticuchos. The tour ends at Alameda Chabuca near Plaza Mayor, where we will sample rice pudding and mazamorra morada.

After 3 hours of exploring, we'll return to your hotel in Lima.

Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in Barranco, Miraflores, San Isidro, and downtown. For pickups from different areas, a fee of 15 USD per person will be required on the day of the activity.
