At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Lima and set off to Miraflores, the first stop on our private walking tour.

In this picturesque district in the province of Lima, you'll have the chance to stroll around a local market to discover the products that are the basis of Peruvian cuisine. You'll try the most exotic food!

From Miraflores, we'll head to the capital's old town by taxi or public transport, whichever you prefer. The public bus costs between 2 PEN and 3 PEN, while a taxi or Uber costs between 20 PEN and 35 PEN per trip. Following the explanations of the guide, whose transport you'll also need to pay for, we'll dive into Peru's recent history by visiting the Exhibition Park (Parque de la Exposición), the Palace of Justice, and San Martín Square.

A few steps away, we'll find the famous Plaza de Armas, a true symbol of Lima. This large square in the heart of the city is home to important buildings like the Municipal Palace of Lima and the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral of Lima, which mixes Gothic and Baroque styles.

Our next stop will be the Basilica and Convent of San Francisco, where we'll see the catacombs found in 1943. Afterward, we'll head to the district of Barranco, the most bohemian in the capital. Picturesque streets, Art Deco buildings, colorful facades, and the famous Bridge of Sighs are some of the attractions in this area in Lima. We'll also discover which famed artists lived in Barranco.

Finally, we'll take you back to the hotel or the location in the city you prefer.

Tour Options

During the booking process, you can choose one of the following options, depending on the duration of the tour you prefer and whether you want to enjoy a walking tour or a scenic tour. If you choose the panoramic option, you'll see the monuments from the vehicle, without getting out to walk around the areas you're visiting.

Please note that all options include pickup from your hotel in Lima, but the return journey will be by public transport, accompanied by the guide. Below are the details of each option:

3-Hour Walking Tour: if you choose this option, during the booking process, you'll also need to choose between the two available itineraries: the historical Lima tour or the modern Lima tour. In the first tour, we'll pass the San Martín Square, Union Street, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral of Lima, the Government Palace, the Convent of San Francisco, and the Park of the Wall. In the second tour, we'll see a local market, John F. Kennedy Park in Miraflores, Larcomar, and the Bridge of Sighs.3-Hour Scenic Tour: in this case, we'll embark on a scenic tour following the itinerary described.6-Hour Tour: in this case, we'll embark on a walking tour and follow the itinerary described.
