Gold of Peru Museum Tour
We will pick you up at your hotel at the designated time to start exploring ancient artistic creations of Peru. The first stop will be the Plaza Mayor, where we will view the Municipal Palace, the Government Palace, and the Cathedral of Lima while learning about the city's history.
Afterward, we will visit a traditional restaurant on Jiron Ancash Street for a tasting of Peru's iconic drink: the pisco sour. Following this, we will head to our main destination: the Museum of Gold of Peru and Weapons of the World, which houses over eight thousand pieces reflecting the customs and beliefs of Peruvian pre-Columbian cultures.
During your museum tour, you will see textiles, utensils, mummies, and funerary bundles, alongside impressive works by pre-Inca goldsmiths from northern Peru. The museum is named Weapons of the World due to its extensive collection of twenty thousand weapons, including war uniforms, armor, and mounts.
The tour will conclude after approximately 3.5 hours.
