Sayán & Churin Day Trip

Legendary caves, natural pools and traditional villages await on our Sayán & Churin Day Trip from Lima.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point in Lima and head north towards Sayán. This town is known for being the land of alfajor. You will receive information about the history of this traditional sweet and enjoy a guided tour of Sayán, including visits to the main square, the Church of San Jerónimo, and the house of liberator José de San Martín.

Next, we will travel to Churin and stop at the entrance to visit the Mamahuarmi Cave and learn about the legend of Princess Shumac. After reaching Churin, we will visit a fish farm and break for lunch on your own. Following lunch, we will tour Churin, including the main square, the 16th-century colonial church, and the monument to Mamahuarmi. You will have free time to buy souvenirs.

We will conclude the trip with a visit to the Tingo Thermal Complex, known for its hot springs with high concentrations of sulphur, iron, and lithium. You will have free time to relax in the natural pools before we return to Lima, where we will drop you off around 10 pm.
