Excursion to Alicudi & Filicudi

Please arrive 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure at Piazza di Marina Corta in Lipari. From there, you will board the boat and embark on an adventurous day.

Your journey will commence with a picturesque cruise along the Lipsi coastline, where you can marvel at the Faraglioni di Lipari, a breathtaking sight that looks even more stunning in reality. As you approach the island of Filicudi, prepare to see the impressive Grotta del Bue Marino, renowned as the largest sea cave in the Aeolian Islands.

Upon reaching the port of Filicudi, you will have two hours to explore the island and grab a meal. History enthusiasts should not miss the chance to visit the Capo Graziano archaeological site, where remnants of a Neolithic settlement can be found. Alternatively, head to one of Filicudi's scenic viewpoints to admire the towering La Canna, a volcanic cliffs rising over 80 meters.

Once your free time is up, we will reboard the boat and set sail for Alicudi, the farthest of the Aeolian Islands. As we arrive, you will immediately sense the peaceful atmosphere of this small volcanic isle, home to just 150 inhabitants and devoid of roads. The charming villages are interconnected by a network of footpaths. Are you ready to discover more?

During your two hours of leisure, feel free to wander and explore at your own pace. Consider visiting the village of San Bartolomé, where you can see the church that honors the patron saint of the archipelago. Perched at an elevation of 330 meters (1082 ft), this temple provides breathtaking views of the island’s landscape. Alternatively, venture to Contrada Tonna to admire its picturesque rural homes. The choice is yours!

At the conclusion of this memorable excursion, we will return to Lipari, arriving 9 hours after the journey commenced.
