Vulcano, Panarea & Stromboli Day Trip

Sail the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea to visit Vulcano, Panarea and Stromboli with this tour from Lipari. Explore these volcanic lands at your leisure and enjoy their incredible landscapes - three islands in one day!

Day Trip Details

45 minutes before the indicated time, we'll meet at Piazza di Marina Corta to board the boat that will take us on a cruise around three of the islands of the Aeolian archipelago. Leaving Lipari behind, we'll set sail to Vulcano, our first stop of the day.

As we approach our destination, we'll first sail around the peninsula of Vulcanello, which was once an island. A volcanic eruption in the 16th century joined this land to Vulcano. We'll also skirt the Baia Negra, see marine grottoes like the Piscina di Venere and check out the Gelso Lighthouse.

Upon docking, you'll have two hours of free time to explore Vulcano. Options include thermal treatments at the bubbling mud baths of Porto di Levante or hiking along the Gran Cratere della Fossa to see its famous sulfur fumaroles.

Next, we'll head for Panarea, where you'll have another two hours of exploration. Use this time for lunch, a swim at Cala Junco, or visiting the ruins of the prehistoric village of Capo Milazzese.

Afterward, we'll proceed to Stromboli. During your two hours of free time, consider visiting the Church of San Vincenzo for its panoramic viewpoint of the Tyrrhenian Sea and islet of Strombolicchio.

At sunset, we'll enjoy a magical spectacle as we observe lava gushing from Stromboli's slopes. We will conclude the excursion by returning to Lipari approximately thirteen and a half hours after departure.

Important Info

If Stromboli is in a red zone due to a volcanic activity alert prohibiting visits, the day trip will be adapted for safety. In this case, we'll have a longer stop at Panarea and then sail to Stromboli for a panoramic tour from the sea, admiring Strombolicchio and the impressive Sciara del Fuoco.
