Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the designated time at Praça da Figueira. From this location in Lisbon, we'll set off north to our first stop, Peniche.

After 1.5 hours, we'll arrive at this small fishing village and go to its port, where we'll board the boat that will take us to the Berlengas Islands.

After a short boat ride, we'll arrive at Berlenga Grande, the largest island of this archipelago. Here, we'll begin to tour the charms of this biosphere reserve. We'll walk through its narrow streets and natural paths with a view of the sea until we reach the Fort of the Berlengas or Fort of São João Baptista das Berlengas.

We'll explore this medieval fortress located within the sea itself and linked to the mainland by a beautiful stone bridge. Afterwards, you'll have a break to enjoy the impressive views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Following on, we'll discover the underwater treasures of the area by taking a boat ride with a glass bottom through the caves and grottos of the Berlengas Islands.

To conclude the day trip, we'll visit the medieval villa of Óbidos. Here, we'll stroll along narrow, winding streets among picturesque houses, reaching viewpoints for scenic views of the west.

We'll then return to Lisbon, where we'll end this 9-hour day trip at Praça Marquês de Pombal.
