Description
After meeting at the scheduled time at Praça Marquês de Pombal, we will head north to the town of Obidos, known for its medieval history.
The guided tour of Obidos begins at the Porta da Vila tower. After passing through its arch, we will enter the old town, characterized by its cobblestone streets that reflect its strategic importance in the past.
As we explore, we will observe the outline of the walls and the castle of Obidos, a 12th-century fortress recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. We will also stop at the aqueduct, a notable engineering feat.
The tour continues on Rua Dereita, where you will have one hour for lunch. It is recommended to try the ensopado de enguias.
Post-lunch, we will proceed to the coastal town of Nazare, a key surfing destination. You will have an hour of free time to explore and enjoy views from the Mirador de Subero.
