Ballysaggartmore Towers Hiking Tour

We will meet at 11 am at Ballysaggartmore Towers to explore these enigmatic buildings in County Waterford. These structures have not had a specific function throughout their history.

The hiking route will guide us around the towers, situated 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) from Lismore. Participants will learn about the legends surrounding this unfinished fortress while exploring the area.

Throughout the walk, we will share various stories, including those from the time of the famine and the history of Arthur Kiely-Ussher, the towers' owner, who began building them to surprise his wife with a mansion that was never completed. The route offers a blend of historical intrigue.

The tour will conclude at the meeting point at 12 pm.
